The Oregon Perinatal Collaborative (OPC) Mobile Simulation Program provides on-site simulations to strengthen maternal and newborn emergency care in rural Oregon hospitals. In response to requests from Oregon hospitals for additional simulation support, OPC brings expert nurse educators directly to hospitals to deliver hands-on, team-based simulation training tailored to each facility’s unique environment, resources, and patient populations. By providing realistic, on-site learning experiences, the program helps clinical teams maintain critical skills in managing high-risk maternal and neonatal emergencies while fostering confidence, preparedness, and evidence-based practice. 

The Mobile Simulation Program aims to improve clinical competency, teamwork, communication, emergency response capabilities, and local simulation skills. By reaching hospitals across Oregon, the program will enhance emergency readiness, promote compliance with regulatory bodies, advance rural hospital education programs, and create measurable improvements in maternal and newborn health outcomes throughout the state.
